I found a tutorial for maschine online that had the "amen break" and was able to have some fun with that but as for recording my own samples it just dosent seem to turn out right, I use maschine mikro and so far havent had much luck with my own samples, I was after a few tips to start sampling and chopping beats,

Spectral effects and Wave editors, run samples through wavetables, wmd gieger counter, etcĪlso LFO rumbles, run through 2-3 adsr enevlopes Take tiny 1 second samples and turn them in arpeggios. Sample all sorts of odd sci-fi movies and turn the samples into stretched pads. Layer various samples, then lay them across the keyboard and play notes out of it. I'll put a long reverb on small pieces, then resample a chunk of the tail, layer in chords with other reverb chunks, filter basslines in s950, melodyne madness (pull midi notes, then re-rund midi notes in daw with sampled spread on keys for weirdness, change whole song to minor key for that darkness, pull elements out of samples), overdrive the outs on tube amps, 8-bit samplers I'll usually take a whole song that has all sorts of possible chops and:Ĭhop, stretch, pitch up and down, reverse, effects, filters, audio mulch, various vst manglers, nord modular, ppooll, Argeiphontes Lyre, then resample. I'm about to reveal all my secrets, but feck it!!!! ya'll still can't do it like me.
